How to choose the heat dissipation method of outdoor cabinet

With the intensification of competition in the communication industry, more and more operators are choosing outdoor communication equipment cabinets in order to reduce investment and operating costs. There are various ways to dissipate heat from outdoor communication equipment cabinets, including natural heat dissipation, fan heat dissipation, heat exchanger heat dissipation, and cabinet air conditioning. How to choose the cooling method for outdoor cabinets and minimize the impact of high and low temperature environments on equipment is a matter of great concern for operators.

1. Fan cooling
After testing the temperature inside the outdoor cabinet (with an external ambient temperature of 35 ℃), it can be seen from the results that the natural heat dissipation without a fan is affected by the high internal temperature of the system due to solar radiation heat and poor system sealing heat dissipation effect, with an average temperature greater than 10 ℃ higher than the ambient temperature; By using a fan for ventilation, the internal air temperature of the system has decreased, with an average temperature about 5 ℃ higher than the ambient temperature.
2. Cabinet air conditioning
The temperature test inside the battery cabinet under the cooling method of outdoor cabinet air conditioning (external ambient temperature of 50 ℃) shows that when the ambient temperature is 50 ℃, the average surface temperature of the battery is about 35 ℃, which can achieve a temperature reduction of about 15 ℃ and has a good cooling effect.
3. Heat exchanger heat dissipation
The effect is the same as fan cooling.
By using heat exchangers and air conditioners for heat dissipation, the cabinet has a good sealing effect and a protection level of up to IP55. In harsh external environments, it is advisable to use heat exchangers or air conditioners for heat dissipation.
